For Cas

Another nothing day today...so what's new? Clydey made us pancakes, bacon, cream and syrup for breakkie today...yummo! Watched Charlotte's Web and bawled my eyes out! Sambo didn't sleep, so we popped over to Nat's place for a cuppa then dropped her into the Valley. When we got home Laura was here - she's doing some training with CBA in the city and needed somewhere to keep her car for the week. Sambo followed her around like a little puppy!

Speaking of Sambo, he's the cheekiest little thing. Clydey took him and the dog for a walk today (which I edited some photos, will post some tomorrow). Kya found this stinky water somewhere (like she always does!) and went for a swim. When they get home, Kya tried to come inside so this is what happened:

Me: "No, Kya, outside. Kya, OUTSIDE, now".
(Kya meekly walks back outside)
Sam comes in from outside and looks at me seriously
Sam: Don't say OUTSIDE Mummy, you say Please Kya, can you go outside???

Hmmmmm...me thinks that I've been pushing the whole "talk nicely please" thing with Sam lately! At least he makes me think twice about how I speak! He won't let me moan or get angry with Clydey at all. Now I can't even yell at the dog!

Tomorrow I really need to take my photos with the Rainbow theme. Hopefully Sam will play the game with me - wish me luck! I am hoping to get him to dress up in some rainbow socks and take a photo of him in his room while he's looking in the mirror or something????

Oh, and yes, Sam is getting a hair cut next week!

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig

Back in BrisVegas now...got home yesterday arvo. Our computer has been fixed, thank god it wasn't anything major, and they could do it in an hour. It's nice to be back online, let me tell you!

Have had crappy nights with Max and Sam - out at Mum's Sam kept falling out of bed, and Max just kept stirring. So figured I would go to bed early last night and catch up on some much needed sleep. YEAH RIGHT!! I started proofing some photos I took of Claudia and Padraig and couldn't stop! Got to bed about midnight, then Max woke me about 1am for a feed, then he was stirring at 3.30am so I gave Clydey a kick in the ribs, then he bloody well woke up at 4.30am! Sam also woke up so he ended up in our bed, and I ended up on the computer with Max in the rocker! We went back to bed around 6am....and I slept until 8.30am, but I'm still exhausted. Not sure what is going on with Max's sleeping...some days it's great, some it's terrible. I'm just stuffed...I really need to go to bed when he does I think!

We are off to Rach and Anthony's today for lunch which will be nice. They haven't seen Max yet - and he's already 3 months old!!

Have been working on a logo for my photography business, so once I've done some perfecting I will post on here to get some opinions!

Can't think of anything exciting to call this post

As I don't have much news! Still in Dalby with Mum and Dad. Max had an great sleep today. I had a massage at 10am and Brenda came around to help with the kids (Mum was at Pastoral Care), and she put him down in his bed at not much after 10am...and he didn't wake up until about 1.15pm!! That is a first.... He didn't sleep much this arvo though...and he's just gone down now. Sambo didn't sleep at all so he was very irritable this arvo. I had had enough of him by 7pm and he went straight to bed, with no books, and he didn't complain at all!

Went over to brenda's today to take some photos of Padraig and Claudia. Think I got some good ones, but will do all my post processing on them when I get home tomorrow. They tried to bloody well pay me for it, the fools. Padraig is just gorgeous, I haven't seen him in such a long time! He's such a little livewire. Looks just like his daddy. Claudia is as gorgeous as always...I love taking photographs of her, her eyes are amazing!

Went out to Megan's yesterday which was lovely. Tried to get some photos of the kids, but don't think I got many good ones. Will have to try again soon. It's all very strange now that I have officially started Portfolio Building as I feel it's more pressure on me to take some good photos. Really need to adjust the way I think, I guess. Just relax and chase those kids around!!

Anyway, I'm off to eat some ice cream with chocolate custard...gotta love being at Mum's!!

PS Sambo said 2 adorable things today. When we were at Brenda's, Padraig was doing his darndest to get at Max....and was grabbing his face etc, as kids do. Sambo looked at me with this terribly worried look on his face, and said "Put my baby away now"!! The second thing he said was tonight while I was having a bath, I did this big sigh, and Sam asked me what was wrong. I told him I have a very sore back, and he wanted to see where it was sore. I said that it was sore on the inside. He digested this for a while, then said, "I open your back and get the sore bit out for you, Mummy". Gosh he can be the sweetest little thing.

Technology Sucks

Well, a long overdue post but unfortunately our computer blew up last Thursday night - yes, can you imagine it - a whole long weekend WITH NO COMPUTER!! I survived...but only due to Nat bringing me around Sex and the City from seasons 1-6!! We watched it over Easter....it was awesome, and I've decided I need to grow my hair again. It will only take me about 5 years to get it looking like Carrie's again....but I'll give it a go!

Anyway, am at Mum and Dad's and I need to upload some photos. Might pop back with some if I find any good ones!!

I don't like Wednesdays.

Ok, maybe not all Wednesdays but I certainly didn't like today. It started off ok - well except for Max waking up before 6am. I DO NOT fare well if the clock has a 5 in the beginning of it. We were heading out to Ali's for the morning. Got the boys ready and in the car by 9am which is pretty good if you ask me! Stopped for fuel....and there was a huge line up that wasn't moving, so I drove on hoping to god that I would make the next servo!! I did, but had to get across the other side of the road for it. Then I spilt fuel all down my pants. Then I went turned down a one way street but headed in the opposite direction to where I needed to go. At least Max slept the whole way. Got there and within 5 minutes Sam had thrown his first tantrum for about 6 weeks. And boy, it was a good one. Then he wined and cried the whole morning. I felt so bad for poor Ali - she has a 2 week old baby and didn't really need to hear my nightmare child all morning! Max was only awake for an hour there, then he slept and slept and slept. (typical when I'm not at home to get anything done!). So we leave there just after 1pm cos I was sick to death of hearing Sam whining. He fell asleep within 10mins, and Max was still asleep. We get home and I put Sam into bed, and give Max a quick feed and he goes BACK to sleep.

So I'm thinking, awesome, the house is looking ok, I'll just get this washing on the line and tidy up a touch and then I might be able to sit and have some "Fo" time. Right?

No.

Sam decided the half an hour sleep on the way home was enough for him. Then Max wakes up at 3pm and doesn't go back to sleep. Sam throws another tantrum. Max still awake. Sam still whining.

Boy, could I do with a drink.

Anyway, they are both now in bed and I've just devoured 2 sausages for dinner. I don't think I even got to eat lunch today.

The chaos for now is over. Let's hope tomorrow is better.

PS Sorry, no photos, didn't even get the time or the inclination to take any!

Many thanks to the people who make comments on here, I really appreciate it that people take the time to read what we have been up to! I guess I should start making my posts more interesting for you? We don't generally do too much though, sorry guys!

Today was a normal day - we played and watched tv, and sang and danced. We went over to Nat's for morning tea/lunch - she made us pancakes with bacon and caramelised bananas, and bacon and ice cream - oh my god, how delicious! Came home and both boys slept the afternoon away. Well, Max slept on my chest so I got to lie down and read all afternoon which was lovely! The house is a pigsty, but I am relaxed!

Got this photo of Max, tell me, isn't he just the most adorable thing? Have also added a storyboard I did of Sambo dancing in the tutu. So cute.

Damn, desperate housewives has started so have to cut this short, sorry people!!

Yesterday

Was pretty quiet. Took Sambo to his swimming lesson - the last one of this block but we have him booked in for the short 5 week block before the pool closes for winter. He was really good....he still doesn't like to do a few things, but he at least has more fun these days. I think we just need to persevere with him...and he'll get used to it and more comfortable.

Didn't do too much for the rest of the day except make Molly's tutu for her birthday party today. I got Sambo to try it on for me, and he loved it! He was spinning and twirling in it for ages! Maybe I should make him one too????

Started watching a movie last night but fell asleep so went to bed. Max didn't wake for a feed until just after 4.30am so that was nice. I have been finding that I am getting up before the boys to sit and have a coffee and just be by myself for the only time all day! The minute one of them wakes up, is when the chaos starts, so I like this quiet time to myself. Don't get too much of it these days!!

Sambo is currenly sleeping, and we are trying to get Max to sleep, so I might even go and do some scrapping. I really need to get my printer working again, it's giving me the shits.

Oh, Ali and Gary were really stoked with their photos of Ava. I need to do a bit more editing on some of them, but then I'll put them onto a disc for them and decide which ones I will print out and put in a frame for them.
